A third-party application we rely on to process energy-saving program rebates is temporarily down due to circumstances beyond our control. If you need pre-approval for your project while our rebate platform is unavailable, please email us at ComConReq@tecoenergy.com with your project documentation. If you have questions, please call our Energy Management Services team at 813-275-3909 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
Please note: Rebate applications must be submitted from a desktop or laptop computer. Entries submitted from mobile devices cannot be processed at this time. |
By using lighting occupancy sensors at your existing facility, which turn off lights when a space is unoccupied, you can capture significant savings. New construction projects do not qualify for this rebate.
How the program works
Tampa Electric provides a $40 rebate per unit (up to a maximum of 50 percent of the equipment cost) when you install permanent lighting occupancy sensors that meet our specifications.
Pre-approval is required
Before work begins, please submit the following information to Tampa Electric using the Lighting Occupancy Sensor program rebate application. After you submit the application, you will receive an enrollment/confirmation number that you can use to access your application. Be sure to write down and save the enrollment/confirmation number.
- Tampa Electric customer account number
- Contractor license number
- Contractor license number expiration date
The application will prompt you to upload the following information:
- Specification sheets
- Detailed contractor proposal
Acquiring your rebate
Once work is complete, you must submit a paid receipt/invoice (proof of purchase) to Tampa Electric. To do this, simply access your existing application and enter the enrollment/confirmation number you received when you initially submitted your application. Please allow four weeks for processing.
If you have questions, please email comconreq@tecoenergy.com or call 813-275-3909 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
