Please allow 15 business days from the date you submit this form for our crews to inspect and remove any Tampa Electric-owned equipment. Be advised that inclement weather, the scale of your request and the number of demolition requests in our queue may impact response time.
The demolition process is designed to ensure the safety of both the public and the men and women of Tampa Electric. To carry out the demolition process please complete and submit the following to Tampa Electric:
- Complete, print and sign Tampa Electric's Demolition Application
- Obtain and submit a completed Demolition Permit Application that is available at your city or county office at the locations listed below.
- Please note, if a signoff sheet is required please submit along with demolition application.
Once you have the completed Tampa Electrics' Demolition Application and the city or county Permit Application, please email both applications, including the signoff sheet to: onesourcedemo@shoywg8868tp.com
To help avoid delays, please:
- Verify with other parties you are working with (governmental agencies, homeowners, contractors, etc.) that a demolition request has not already been submitted.
- Complete a site visit to verify the meter number and/or grid-pole number on each pole that will be removed (a grid-pole number can be found on a metal tag attached to the electric pole).
- The customer of record must contact Tampa Electric and close any active accounts.
Once Tampa Electric receives your applications and signoff sheet, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application and signoff sheet. At the completion of the demolition process, after meters and service lines have been removed, the completed signoff sheet and confirmation letter will be sent to the customer/contractor.
